Message from Mr. Herrera

Re: Instructional Materials/ Supplemental Resources
Dear Montebello Unified School District Families,
In order to keep our students engaged during these times of health concerns, the Montebello Unified School District prepared supplemental resources. These resources are also available online at this link.
Supplemental materials will be available to pick up at your student’s school on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Please see the attached schedule for more specific pick up information. In order to practice social distancing, we have staggered times for picking up the materials. If you have multiple students, at the same school, you can pick up the materials at the time assigned to your youngest student. If you are picking up materials for friends and neighbors, please let our personnel know upon arrival.
Supplemental materials that are not picked up will be mailed home to families.
Personnel from the Montebello Unified School District communicated with a Spectrum representative and are offering two months of free internet to eligible residences. Call 1-844-488-8395 for more information. In addition, cable and cellular phone service providers are offering free internet and data to customers. Please inquire with the cable and cellular phone providers to see if you are eligible.
Thank you for your support and understanding.

Urban Seeds Documentary

The award-winning documentary film "Urban Schools" features students from Bell Gardens High School's GREEN Pathway and from across MUSD as they grow and harvest fresh produce from gardens on every school site in the district.

"Urban Seeds" has been awarded Best Documentary Short at the California International Shorts Festival in Hollywood.  It has also been named an Official Selection at the Food & Farm Film Fest in San Francisco, and the Huatalco Film & Food Festival in Oaxaca, Mexico.

With the power to connect with young generations who care about climate change, health, and the environment, Victor Payan, founder of the OC Film Festival, declares "Urban Seeds" a powerful film.
