If you want to participate, please email Ms. Larios at  larios_susana@montebello.k12.ca.us   the name of your group only.  For this event, the Counseling Office will NOT be providing tables, so please ask at the Principal's Office for tables or bring your own. The boys varsity soccer with a BIG WIN over Schurr 2-0 in the RAIN on Tuesday gives the Lancers a perfect 5-0 record in first place in the Almont League and 10-5-3 overall on the season. With rain being one of the obstacles and no protection on the field the Lancer Varsity soccer team was not on the sidelines during the match but instead up in the press box! Lancer subs would have to hustle down in the rain from the press box to the field to enter the match. Despite the rain obstacles both teams managed to play a scoreless first half. The Lancer first score was at the 60th minute of the match by Ricardo Naranjo on a line drive from the side of the field that made its way into the high corner of the net.13 minutes later Ricardo Naranjo scored on a breakaway to close the game at 2-0. The Lancers are at the halfway point of the Almont League with five matches remaining. The Lancers have not allowed any goals in Almont league matches outscoring opponents 36-0. Goal keeper Jose Eustaquio has turned in five shutouts making some great stops against  Schurr The Lancers will host Alhambra today at 315pm .Alhambra is 2-3 in 4th place. . The Boys JV team is also 5-0 in first place in Almont league and play today at 445pm.

BGHS Staff and Students:

The Sports/Club/Academic Fair will be on Friday, January 25th during lunchtime in the Horseshoe area. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about how they can get involved in school activities in the new semester or for the next academic school year.

Coaches: If you still need to recruit for your Spring sports teams, this will also be another opportunity to market your sport and let students know when you practice.

Academic Program Teachers:  This is also a way for you to promote your academic programs (Advanced Placement, CTE, Fine Arts, electives, etc.) for the next school year.  Please note that counselors will begin programming 11th and 10th graders for 2019-2020 classes in February and the 9th graders in April.

Staff: Please designate 2-3 students who will set-up your organization's table and give them a note excusing them at 12:00 pm from their 4th period classes.  After the lunch bell rings, your group will need to clean their areas.  If needed, I will give them a late note to 5th period.

If you want to participate, please respond to this message.  Please provide your own tables.

Have a great week!!
