College Application Workshops

BGHS will continue its tradition of helping students complete their college applications. Due to school closures, all workshops will be done via Zoom.  To access the Zoom link, students need to enroll in Ms. S. Larios' Google Classroom- nf2lcwr



Freshman Application Checklist:

  • Unofficial transcripts You’ll be asked to enter all the courses you’ve completed on your CSU, UC and Common App applications; those that are currently in progress; and any you plan to take. Transcripts will be requested by campuses as needed.
  • Test scores (SAT, ACT, AP or IB) Report test results so far as well as any future test dates. Please remember that all UCs, CSUs and the majority of Private schools are TESTING OPTIONAL for students applying for Fall 2021 Admission.
  • Your Social Security number, if you have one.
  • Your citizenship status
  • Your parent’s citizenship status
  • Annual income Your parents’ if you are a dependent; your income if you are independent
  • California statewide student ID Optional; every K-12 student in a California public school is assigned an ID number. The number should be printed on your transcript
  • A method of payment You can pay the application fee by credit card.
  • Your parent’s employment background and two recommendations Applies only if you’re applying to EOP.

Week 1: Thursday, October 1- 1:30-3:30 pm

Week 2: Tuesday, October 6- 1:30-3:30 pm and Thursday, October 8- 1:30-3:30 pm

Week 3: Tuesday, October 13- 1:30-3:30 pm and Thursday, October 15- 1:30-3:30 pm

Week 4: Monday, October 19- 1:30-3:30 pm and Wednesday, October 21- 1:30-3:30 pm

Week 5: Monday, October 26- 1:30-3:30 pm and Wednesday, October 28- 1:30-3:30 pm

Week 6: Monday, November 2- 1:30-3:30 pm and Wednesday, November 4- 1:30-3:30 pm Saturday, November 7- 9am-1pm (only Saturday workshop)

Week 7: Tuesday, November 10- 1:30-3:30 pm and Thursday, November 12- 1:30-3:30 pm

Week 8: Monday, November 16-1:30-3:30 pm and Tuesday; November 17- 1:30-3:30 pm; and Wednesday, November 18- 1:30-3:30 pm 

Week 9: Monday, November 30- 1-3:30pm (deadline for UC campuses); December 3- 1:30-3:30pm; and December 4- 1-3:30pm (deadline for CSU campuses).
